SAFE AND ORDERLY TRAVEL

All passengers must have their seat belt, child safety seat, or wheelchair restraint systems in use while the vehicle is moving. Do not tamper with the vehicle or traffic equipment as it is possible that some day as necessary to help you. Pets must be in an appropriate carrier. Service animals are exempt as they are not considered pets. Reasonable hygiene is expected; Please do your best not to offend others. Please be courteous to the driver and other passengers. No loud, rude or profane language will be permitted. The use of tobacco, alcohol and/or possession of illegal drugs is not permitted on the bus. Food and beverages must be in a closed, spill-proof container. Refrain from eating on the bus. Please understand that we must accommodate all passengers; some bags may be limited. Children must be accompanied by an adult. For the safety of all passengers, please wait until the driver has stopped driving to ask questions. Reasonable accommodations may be available upon request. Transportation of the Municipality of Vega Baja reserves the right to refuse service due to inappropriate behavior.

TITLE VI CIVIL RIGHTS

The Citizen Mobility Program offers its programs and services without regard to race, color, or national origin in accordance with Title VI of the Civil Rights Act. Any person who believes that he or she has been aggrieved by any unlawful discriminatory practice under Title VI may file a complaint with the Transportation Administrator of the Municipality of Vega Baja Transit Services.

AMERICANS WITH DISABILITIES ACT (ADA)

In accordance with the requirements of Title II of the Americans with Disabilities Act of 1990 (ADA), the Citizen Mobility Program will not discriminate against qualified individuals with disabilities on the basis of disability in its services, programs or activities. The ADA law does not require the Citizen Mobility Program of the Municipality of Vega Baja to take any measure that fundamentally alters the nature of its programs or services. Any person who requires an auxiliary aid or service for effective communication, or a modification of policies or procedures to participate in a program, service or activity of the Citizen Mobility Program, must contact the Transit Administrator of the Municipality of Vega Baja.
